Pelargonium x asperum var roseum
Rose Geranium essential oil is a variety of geranium (Pelargonium x asperum) that carries a rose-tinted geranium scent that is slightly sweeter than regular geranium. It has all of the same balancing, regulating qualities of other geraniums. Superb for perfumery of body and space. Other varieties also available are Geranium and Geranium Bourbon (Pelargonium var. asperum) Essential Oil, which has a richer and more complex rose note.
Aroma: Middle note. Excellent perfume ingredient.
Perfume: Sweet, floral, fresh and green, with friendly rose notes.
Blends well with: Citruses, sandalwood, frankincense, petitgrain, vertivert and patchouli.
Indications: Antidepressant, antiseptic, astringent, stops bleeding, wound healer, deodorant, diuretic, vermifuge, tonic.
