Lavandula x intermedia / Grosso

Lavandin is a hybrid of two lavenders: one that grew high on the mountain (‘true’ lavender, Lavandula angustifolia) and one that grew low on the mountain (spike lavender, Lavandula spica/latifolia). They met in the middle to produce a wild and sweet, camphoracious-lavender scent that is high yielding and hardy. Lavandin does all that a good lavender should - plus it opens the breath. True lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is also available.

Aroma: Middle Note

What is Lavandin Grosso? A hybrid plant of true lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) and Spike Lavender (Lavandula spica/latifolia)

Perfume: Pleasant, penetrating and refreshing. Similar to true lavender (angustifolia) though less floral. Sweet, camphoracious top notes with woody herbaceous undertones.

Blends well with: Bergamot, cedarwood, chamomile, citronella, clary sage, clove, geranium, jasmine, labdanum, lemon, mandarin, orange, patchouli, rose, rosemary, thyme, vetivert.

Indications: antidepressant, antiseptic, analgesic, cicatrising, expectorant, repellent, nervine, and vulnerary.

Part of plant used: flowering aerial parts

Type of extraction: steam distilled

Grown and manufactured in: France

Precautions: Considered safe for use during pregnancy.
